Grizzly Ciderworks Woodlander Cider

by | Apr 14, 2015

Originally billed as cider for beer drinkers (with a completely hopped cider line-up to boot), two-year-old Seattle cidery Grizzly Ciderworks is growing up and growing out with an expanded offering. Take the Woodlander for instance, a wit-style cider, one of the few ciders in the states using wit beer yeast for fermentation. A matured and unique take on a typical Belgian beer yeast strain with Northwest apples, the Woodlander has a charismatic nose of sweet baking spices, botanicals, orange peel and creamy apple. The mouthfeel stands on the lighter side, with refreshing citrus, red apple and zippy acid to complete the palate.
