4 Summer Cocktails in a Bottle, Baby

by | Jun 19, 2018

This summer, we are all about cocktail ease. Sure, we love home recipes written up by bartender extraordnaires — like ones that help you drink you summer vegetables and others on smoked whiskey cocktails — but having a cocktail completed in a can or bottle makes life that much simpler this season.

Ginger Matcha Tea Infused Cocktail | Taynton Bay Spirits
Talk about a breakfast cocktail: this refreshing, ready-to-pour cocktail is crafted by the eastern British Columbia distillery in partnership with The Naked Leaf in nearby Alberta. The tea company’s Ginger Matcha tea is infused into the distillery’s vodka and adds pep to your step from the matcha with zip and zesty from the ginger. At 14 percent alcohol, the cocktail can enjoyed over ice or topped off with ginger ale. | $25 CAD/750ml

Driftwood Manhattan Mix | New Deal Distillery + Hammer & Tongs
Another collaboration for the ages, Portland’s New Deal Distillery teamed up with vermouth-maker Hammer & Tongs for this mix, a bottled, pre-made Manhattan that acts as the ultimate nightcap. Saving you from the steps of curating your own Manhattan, New Deal’s rye whiskey, Hammer & Tong’s L’Afrique vermouth and aromatic bitters are already blended to perfection in this sipper that just requires stirring over ice and serving. | $25/750ml

Stone Carver Cocktails Jennifer Rosemary | Sandstone Distillery
This Washington distillery bottles its Stone Carver rosemary-infused vodka with equal parts lime syrup and lime juice to create the Jennifer Rosemary, a gin-and-tonic-esque sipper. The herbal vodka base nearly has the botanical bill for gin, but skips on the juniper, bringing fragrant rosemary front and center with the brightness of lime. Grab a bottle, fill a glass with ice and jump on the nearest boat. | $30/750ml

LemondropNight Side Distillery
The highest octane “cocktail” of the lot sitting at 30 percent ABV (60 proof), this is technically citrus-flavored vodka but the simplicity of adding soda or iced tea in the mix makes it a no brainer for this list. This very adult lemonade boasts vibrant and tangy lemon and orange flavors, showcasing why it’s the Washington distillery’s best-selling product and why it should be in your summer picnic pack.  | $23/750ml
