RON CHEF MASAHARU MORIMOTO PARTNERS WITH TREVERI CELLARS FOR NEW SPARKLING WINE COLLABORATION

by | Jun 23, 2023

SEATTLE, WA (June 20, 2023) – Today, world-renowned Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto is pleased to announce his latest collaboration with Treveri Cellars, a leading winery in Washington state. Crafted from grapes grown in both the Naches Heights and Yakima Valley AVA’s in Central Washington State, this collaboration features two traditionally produced sparkling wines curated specifically for Morimoto Restaurants.

The coldest growing area in Washington Wine Country, Naches Heights, boasts high elevation vineyards, perfect for producing world-class Riesling and exceptional quality sparkling wine. The wine is produced using the “champagne-method,” with a second fermentation naturally occurring in the bottle, resulting in finer bubbles. Aged for 24 months in the bottle, this process enhances the wine’s aroma and flavor complexity while maintaining fruit purity and minerality.

Working with the team at Treveri Cellars, Chef Morimoto has created two distinct wine flavors: Dream Brut Rosé and Dream Brut Zero. Created with careful deliberation and tasting trials, these sparkling wines are designed to complement Morimoto’s diverse and exciting cuisine. Dream Brut Rosé, made from 100% Pinot Noir and aged for 24 months in the bottle, features flavor notes of strawberries and cherries with delicate floral undertones. Dream Brut Zero is characterized by its bone-dry and clean style, with flavor notes of lime blossom, lemon, peaches, and acacia.

“I’m thrilled to collaborate with Treveri Cellars on this exciting venture,” said Chef Morimoto, “Their passion for creating exceptional wine complements my dedication to creating unique, unforgettable culinary experiences. Together, we will bring our customers on a journey of discovery and exploring the subtle flavors and aromas that can be found in both food and wine.”

“We are honored to partner with Chef Morimoto on this exciting new project,” said Peter Mastrogiovanni, National Sales Manager for Treveri Cellars, “His commitment to creating exceptional cuisine is truly inspiring, and we are confident that our sparkling wines will provide the perfect complement to his exquisite dishes. We cannot wait to share this exciting project with our customers.”

Both Chef Morimoto and Treveri Cellars share a passion for innovation and the desire to push culinary boundaries, making this partnership collaboration a perfect fit. The Morimoto x Treveri Cellars Sparkling Wine will be available at all of Chef Morimoto’s restaurants in the United States starting with Las Vegas and California. Florida and Boston locations can anticipate the arrival in a matter of weeks, followed by Hawaii and New York in the coming months.
