Montana CiderWorks Newtown Pippin

by | Jun 17, 2014

“They have no apples here to compare with our Newtown Pippin,” a cider zealous and loyal patriot and President Thomas Jefferson once wrote about the apple varietal named after his hometown in Virginia while visiting Paris. Although he may have been bias, his heart was in the right place. Also with their heart in the right place, Darby, Mont.,’s Montana CiderWorks releases their small batch Newtown Pippin cider and honors the former president’s enthusiasm. Their rendition of this single varietal cider is bright and crisp, with the earth of dirt and skin tannin along with juicy apple and orange flavors.
