Nearly three decades ago, owner, farmer and distiller Steve McCarthy started Clear Creek Distillery on his family’s orchard in Parkdale, Ore. McCarthy’s distillery set the bar in the Northwest for eau-de-vie, grappa and fruit-distilled spirits, with traditional European brandy-making techniques, pot still methods and Oregon fruit. The Oregon Cranberry Liqueur is an ode to the southern Oregon coast farmers with the use of their big, intense and ripe cranberries. Truly tart and tangy, this liqueur is far from saccharine and syrupy as one might expect, instead it proposes a bright and juicy alcoholic alternative to the berry.
