WINE WEDNESDAY: The Four Graces 2011 Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley

Named for owners Steve and Paula Black’s four daughters (son Nicholas has been knighted “Keeper of The Four Graces”), The Four Graces winery calls 110 acres in Dundee, Ore. home. The family is committed to producing quality Pinot Noir, with the help of their winemaker, Bordeaux-bred Laurent Montalieu. Outside of Pinot Noir, The Four Graces puts out a Pinot Gris and the often times underappreciated Oregon Pinot Blanc. The 2011 Willamette Valley Pinot Blanc is a bright bomb of tropical fruit like banana, pineapple, juicy apricot and zesty citrus. The mineral tones are a nicely added touch to an already full and vibrant palate, the wine is generous all the way through the finish.
