Republic of Jam Quince Lavender Shrub

by | Feb 23, 2015

The Willamette Valley might be best known for its successful growth of vitis vinifera and hazelnuts, but the region also provides epicureans with fruit delicacies across the board, including Republic of Jam‘s line of gourmet foods. From house-made jams and mustards, to cocktail syrups and fruit ketchups and relishes, ROJ offers more than 350 seasonal flavors throughout the year. The house recipes use roughly half of the sugar used in traditional recipes, profiling the fruit more so than the additives. Using local farms, orchards and suppliers to source all of the products used for the vegan-friendly, fruit products, ROJ now offers a variety of shrubs (also known as drinking vinegars), including the Quince Lavender Shrub. Tart and tangy, floral and nutty, this fruity and vibrant drink will cleanse the system and wake it up, especially when served over ice or sparkling water.
