So goes the same for their beers—take the Edgefield resort’s take on the McMenamins Ruby Ale. Brewed on-site at the Troutdale, Ore., hotel, the ruby has been made since 1986. A raspberry ale comprised of Chinook hops and pale malts, 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is also used in every batch. Effortless and straightforward in raspberry ice cream, the mouthfeel is fruity and crisp, light-bodied and tart with a lingering fresh raspberry flavor.
