Logsdon Farmhouse Ales Seizoen Bretta

by | Jun 6, 2013

Organic, plugged with estate grown hops and fermented with natural yeast in the traditional Belgian farmhouse sense, Hood River, Ore.’s Logsdon Farmhouse Ales produces six notable ales, all with pop-top closures and sealed with beeswax, including the unique Seizoen Bretta. Unfiltered, naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeasts including a special Brettanomyces strain (a dreaded dooming flaw of yeast for many winemakers), the hops are subtle and the yeast is the shining star with brioche, pear, orange zest and cinnamon aromas and flavors. The palate is creamy and round, compelling with its roundness and yet sheer sessionability.
