HOTLIPS Marionberry Real Fruit Soda

by | Mar 16, 2015

What was once an expression to compliment a talented trumpeter is also a term for a family-owned gourmet pizza chain of Portland. Since 1984, HOTLIPS has been plating pies for locals and in 2005, with a refurbished bottling machine from the 1960’s, they launched their line of equally gourmet, fresh fruit sodas. Today, HOTLIPS enrolls a roster of six pizzerias in the Rose City, a commissary kitchen, a soda brewing operation, a mobile oven for farmers markets and regional festivals, and a mobile soda set-up. One of the latest to the soda stream is the Marionberry, a quintessential Northwest flavor made with ripe, fresh Northwest berries. The berries are juiced, sweetened with a small amount of cane sugar, spiked with some organic lemon juice and unfiltered for a simply juicy, jammy, tangy and tart soda for the pizza-loving masses of Portland and beyond.
