Fremont Mischief Gin

by | Jun 13, 2014

What does it taste like when 600 people help make a single spirit? Try Seattle’s Fremont Mischief Gin and find out. The bright, botanical-focused liquor, thanks to the help of taste-testers at local businesses throughout the distillery’s Fremont neighborhood, went through 21 iterations and countless blind taste tests until the gin was good enough to beat market leaders Hendrick’s, Tanqueray Rangpur and Bombay Sapphire across the board.

The final product focuses as much on Indian coriander as on juniper berries, and incorporates ten additional flavors (a couple rare peppers, four secret aphrodisiacs) from around the world, with resultant citrus and a peppery kick coming in hot on the coriander’s and juniper’s coattails. Mix it up with club soda, simple syrup and a squeeze of fresh lemon for a spiced-up, summer-ready Gin Fizz.
