Finnriver Fresh Hopped Cider

by | Oct 22, 2013

Warning: this cider is going, going…you get the picture—this limited edition fresh hop cider was kegged, bottled and sent on its way from Finnriver Farm and Cidery‘s Olympic Peninsula abode in late August so what’s out there is what’s out there. Found at an occasional PCC, Whole Foods or specialty bottle shop, I located a pint Friday evening at Seattle’s new Capitol Hill cider hub, Capitol Cider. One of the few fresh hopped ciders produced (the Northwest also sports a serving of dry hopped ciders, including one from this farm), Finnriver seizes the hop harvest with a Fresh Hopped cider that is crisp with apple fruit and tartness, bone dry and seasoned with the citrus and fresh-cut grass qualities of vibrant, raw hops.
