Beer of the Week!

by | Jun 10, 2021

Spruce Budd
Fort George Brewery, Astoria OR

There’s something inherently inviting about foam, and the fluffy snow white head on this shimmering spruce beer will have your mouth watering. Sweet, biscuity Pilsner malt and a touch of lemon balm combine appealingly with conifer boughs and juniper berries in the aroma, which leads into a balanced, light-bodied ale. Its flavors of lemon candy, mountain herbs, and woody resin complement each other well and finish cleanly, adding to the drinkability. Satisfying in its simplicity and utterly northwestern, Spruce Budd is a light, bright Cascadian delight.
