Art of the Cocktail

by | Sep 27, 2013

Tastings, workshops and competitions–oh my! Victoria, BC is ramping up to celebrate the revival of a lost craft during three days of intoxicating events at the much anticipated Art of the Cocktail. Bartenders and mixologists alike will be muddling, mixing, stirring and shaking alongside renowned chefs as they serve up a variety of distinguished drinks and fanciful foods, Oct. 26—28.

With three days of events, there’s plenty to go around. Attendees will learn how to make their own craft cocktails as industry experts share trade secret techniques during one of the event’s many featured workshops, or they can watch in awe as bartenders battle, showcasing their skills during one of the weekend’s three bartending competitions.

Don’t miss the Grand Tasting at the beautiful Crystal Garden where the region’s best bartenders and chefs are teaming up to wow guests with a gourmet spread of artisan foods and cocktails. A showcase of craft distilleries alongside premium spirits and culinary masterpieces from Victoria’s favorite restaurants easily makes the Grand Tasting the most anticipated and celebrated event of the weekend.

Promising to make “a great event even greater,” Art of the Cocktail celebrates the industry’s finest during this spirited festival. Feeling hungry? Enjoy the featured Three Martini Lunch or Midnight Bartenders’ Brunch. Or, if you’re in the market for entertainment, catch a spectacle during the Victoria Spirits Ultimate Cities Competition.

Don’t want to miss a thing? Attendees of the event can choose from three different event passes to suit their specific cocktail needs. The Spirited Pass grants admission to the Grand Tasting (with two tasting tokens), two workshops of choice and admission to the Ultimate City Competition. Spoil yourself with the Tippler Pass and enjoy VIP access to the Grand Tasting (token free from 6—7pm), four workshops of choice, all competitions and the Three Martini Lunch. Industry insiders will enjoy the Industry Pass which includes Grand Tasting admission (with two tasting tokens), four workshops, the Midnight Bartenders’ Brunch, all competitions and brand tasting suites.
