As we head into the weekend to kick off the month of February with the Superbowl, it seems only fitting to showcase some options for great beer events this month! From Portland to Victoria, and everything in between, the Northwest sure does enjoy a good beer. Everyone loves watching the Superbowl, it’s a huge event in the USA. Lots of people choose to place bets on the games, using apps like Indiana Sports Betting. Sports betting can really add an extra thrill to a game so if you’ve never bet before, the Superbowl would be the perfect opportunity for you.
Febrewary 1: Start off the month at Belgianfest, hosted by the Washington Beer Commission on Seattle’s waterfront, with more than 90 varieties of Belgian beers. Noon to 4 pm and 5:30pm to 9:30 pm. || $35 online, $40 at the door
Febrewary 9: Head down to the 6th Annual Pike Chocofest on Sunday in Seattle to explore the world of beer and chocolate pairings with 80 vendors. All proceeds benefit Puget Soundkeeper. Party starts at 6 pm. || Admission $45
Febrewary 14-15: The 3rd Annual Great Washington Porter Festival will showcase George Washington’s favorite style of beer: the porter. Brown porters, imperial porters, smoked porters and more from around the northwest will be on tap at Saddle Rock Pub & Brewery in Wenatchee, Wash. for Presidents’ Day weekend. There will even be a homebrew contest! Friday, Feb. 14, 5:00 to 10:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 15, noon to 10:00 pm.|| No entry fee, beers will be sold by the glass
Febrewary 15: Continue your Presidents’ Day weekend at Zwickelmania, an annual one-day event in Portland, which will open 100 breweries doors to beer fans from all over. 11 am to 4 pm. || Event is free, sampling and beers charged by brewery
Febrewary 21: Black Out Beer Fest is sure to be a riot at Lompoc Brewing Sidebar in Portland, featuring 15 dark beers from Lompoc Brewing and other special guests. 4 pm to 11 pm. || Tasting packages $15
March 1: Wrap up the month with Victoria Beer Week, a nine-day event beginning March 1 at the Victoria Public Market. Expand your knowledge and enjoy brews at Beer Schools, a Beer & Pizza Party, Strange Brews and more. Times vary. || Prices range per event
