Le Vieux Pin was named for the majestic aged pine tree that stands in the winery’s Black Sage Bench vineyard, and harkens the winery’s commitment to create wines that pay homage to the dedication and traditions of France, while honoring what nature has given them here, in the beautiful south Okanagan. The complexities in this aromatic wine come both from the blend (78 percent Viognier, 11 percent Roussanne, 11 percent Marsanne) and the concentration of the full, perfumed, sun-primed fruit. Huge acacia, violet and rose aromatics, dried herbs and overripe peach burst from this juicy wine. A lovely toasty spiced orange blossom note closes out the lengthy finish.
