5 All-American Beer Fests in July

by | Jun 27, 2017

What better way to celebrate America’s independence than with a glass of cold beer? After all, the two basically go hand-in-hand. When the celebrations are all said and done, the party doesn’t have to stop there. Celebrate the country’s birthday all month long with these festivals that run throughout the month.

Downtown Coeur d’Alene Brew Fest | July 1 | McEuen Park | Coeur d’Alene, ID
The launch of this festival is set to feature the biggest names of the Pacific Northwest beer world, including Idaho favorites like Sockeye Brewing and Payette Brewing, plus over a dozen more. Think of it as your Fourth of July pre-funk. Tickets are $25, but free for designated drivers.

Seattle International Beerfest | July 7-9 | Fisher Lawn and Pavilion | Seattle
Keep the patriotic celebration rolling at this international — yet well-stocked with local — party in the center of Seattle. The tradition continues after 17 years, with more than 200 beers on tap. Choose from the classics, like pilsners and pales, or expand your palate and go for more exotic selections like barrel-aged Belgian ales and hoppy sours. Come hungry, local joints will be serving up their famous dishes, like Athena’s Greek Food, Grilled Cheese Experience and more. Tickets start at $25.

Puckerfest | July 12-18 | Belmont Station | Portland
Dubbed one of the “can’t miss” events during Oregon Craft Beer Month, Puckerfest 11 is right around the corner. The name says it all. With nearly a dozen funky fresh sour beers on tap, Puckerfest brings a whole new meaning to the saying “first they’re sour, then they’re sweet.” Grab a friend and embrace the sour-y goodness at Belmont Station, a local favorite. Admission is free, but beer costs vary.

Bremerton Summer Brewfest | July 14-15 | Bremerton Boardwalk | Bremerton, WA
Down on the boardwalk is the seventh annual Bremerton Summer Brewfest. The two-day event will feature over 30 Washington producers, tapping hundreds of craft beers. Catch the Seattle ferry and enjoy the scenic route to the Bremerton Boardwalk before you indulge with some cold brews from local favorites like Aslan, Elysian and Fremont Brewing. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door.

Oregon Brewers Festival | July 26-30 | Tom McCall Waterfront Park | Portland
Known as the granddaddy of beer fests, the Oregon Brewers Festival has been a destination event for 30 years. Choose from over 80 craft beers while taking in the view of Oregon’s Willamette River with the Portland skyline peeking in from behind. Don’t just take our word for it – come see why thousands of visitors make the trek each year for the beloved beer party down by the river. Admission is free, but a $7 mug is required to drink and tasting tokens are $1 each.
