Aptly named for the namesake 268-foot waterfall nearby, Snoqualmie Falls Brewery in Snoqualmie, Washington is a historic haunt serving up seven different ales and one root beer seven days a week to a town of nearly 13,000 people. Launching in 1997 on seven barrel system, Snoqualmie now brews 5,000 barrels per year at its brewpub, a restaurant that seats 180 tourists, locals and families alike. As the kid-friendly addition to the list of beers, the Snoqualmie Root Beer is made with real vanilla extract, cane sugar and heaps of the town’s local delicacy—honey. Potent aromatics of sarsaparilla, molasses and vanilla will soothe any person’s (grown or still growing) sweet tooth, and the full and equally sweet and piquant flavors keep the palate content. Parents can rest assured this sipper is sans caffeine to boot.
