Townsite Brewing is a microbrewery located in the historic Townsite district of Powell River, at the top of BC’s Sunshine Coast. Though this sustainably-focused brewery was founded in 2010, they are still relatively unknown, quietly making delish small batches that are quickly snapped up by those in the loop. Their brewer, Cedric Dauchot, is Belgian and if there is one thing Belgians know, it’s how to make really great beer. Westview Wheat will ease you though the last days of Indian Summer. Lovely spiced orange and herbs fill up this medium-bodied, hazy, unfiltered wit. In the Belgian style, Westview has enough complexity to stand up to main courses–I’m thinking grilled pork and kale with quinoa salad.
