by | Mar 11, 2013

Welcome to the Daily Sip, our day-to-day suggestions for how to spend your waking hours in the world of libations, from juice and tea to wine, beer and more.

DETOX MONDAY: Middle Fork Roasters Tough as Nails Blend

Founded by the fresh-faced and erudite second-generation roaster Matt Parrish and his sales-wise business partner, Macky McNish, Seattle’s Middle Fork Roasters sources single origin 100% Arabica coffee and pleges to take coffee to a higher level, through not only their fair trade practices but also their roasting techniques and standards. “For those who like it strong,” Tough as Nails is a combination of Colombian and Guatemalan dark roasts and blasts a bold, rich and peppery aroma straight out of the bag. Vigorous in smoke and baking spice aromas and vigorous in a syrupy, thick-bodied texture, Tough as Nails gives sips of raisin, smoked flavors and chocolate and caps off with a dark, sweet and spicy finish.
