SpierHead Winery 2012 Gentleman Farmer Vineyard Pinot Noir

by | Mar 19, 2014

This is a small, 97 case lot of site-specific Pinot Noir from SpierHead Winery‘s Gentleman Farmer Vineyard, in East Kelowna of the Okanagan Valley. As quantities are limited, distribution won’t be large (check with winery first), but if you come across a bottle, it’s worth picking up and setting down. Not that it isn’t enjoyable now—with all the dark flowers, cassis, dried cherries and resinous blackberries overtop a layer of plush, clay tannins, mocha and punchy oak—it’s just that this deeper styled Pinot will further develop and unite in bottle, and you will be rewarded for your patience.
