Sounds Spirits Depth Ginger Liqueur

by | Sep 11, 2015

Ginger is an undeniably bold flavor, and yet Seattle’s Sound Spirits has somehow managed to make it delicate and nuanced in their Depth Ginger Liqueur.

The Seattle-based distillery’s Depth series captures and explores unique liqueur flavors, each one powerful yet complex in its own right (the series also includes Depth Menthe, Depth Cacao and Depth Vow of Silence Herbal Liqueur). Once poured from Depth Ginger’s 375-milliliter black bottle, the 66-proof spirit displays a light, almost floral aroma, a bright, fresh ginger root spiciness plus a little earth on the palate, and a finish that’s sweet and anything but abrasive. This liqueur is perfect for adding spice nuance, as opposed to over-the-top ginger flavor, to any cocktail.
