Hopworks Urban Brewery Pig War White IPA

by | Aug 8, 2013

Portland’s organic urban brewery, Hopworks, sources specific grains (Hard Red Spring wheat) from their exclusive farm on a specific Northwest Island (San Juan) for their Pig War White India Pale Ale. This particular grain takes credit for the creamy, wheat aroma and texture on the palate. The nose is rich with wheat and orange jelly, Meyer lemon preserves, classic IPA floral notes and brioche toast malts. The mouthfeel goes the way of the aromas, with round and creamy fruit and floral flavors in the mid-palate, finishing with a crisp yet moderate bitterness.
