20something Wine Event Tickets on Sale Today

Returning to Fremont Studios, tickets are expected to sell out for the sixth year

Tickets are on sale today for 20something – The New Vintage, the popular wine tasting event for younger wine enthusiasts. 20something offers access to world-class wines and top restaurants in a relaxed atmosphere tailored to a younger audience, the perfect companion to the Taste Washington event which is held each spring. The annual 20something event takes place Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Fremont Studios in Seattle.

Tickets are $50 and are available online at www.thenewvintage.org or through BrownPaperTickets.com. More than 1,000 are expected to attend the event to wine, dine and rub elbows with sommeliers, winemakers, restauranteurs and sponsors. A full list of participating wineries, restaurants and hotel packages will soon be available at www.thenewvintage.org.

“This is an exciting time for the expanding Washington wine industry and 20something is a fantastic way to showcase the incredible wines, winemakers and culinary leaders in Washington state,” said Tom Norwalk, President & CEO of Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau. “20something takes a different approach than Taste Washington by offering an informal event for a younger wine enthusiast.”

About 20something – The New Vintage

20something – The New Vintage, now in its sixth year was modeled after Taste Washington but created to appeal to the younger attendee base (21-35 year-old demographic). Featuring more than 75 Washington state wineries and over 15 Pacific Northwest restaurants, 20something offers wine tasting and pairing while allowing quality time to be spent with winemakers, owners and representatives. Many wineries bring their younger tasting room managers and winemakers to connect with the young attendees.
